New for the Summer of 2021, Coherent’s first revision of the bestselling 6D cable range has been confirmed. With the introduction of new conductor materials, dielectric properties and new treatments. Improving on the already very highly regarded 6D design for the last 12 years was no easy task. As material improvements have been made over the intervening timespan, we felt it was correct to revisit the design and look at how the later advancements in material production and specifications could benefit this original to design.

So after significant experimentation and testing (both in the lab with vector network analysers, precision LCR devices and a TDR (time domain reflectometry suite) coupled with hours of listening and observations; we finally settled on the Generation II cable formula. This is now standard in all Coherent 6D Gen II cables.

In August 2021 copy of Hifi World Martin Pipe awarded the 6D Gen II speaker cable five globes ‘among the best’ so we are off to another great start.

All Coherent cables are designed to produce music with a great natural balance and rhythmic poise. Spatiality and depth, class leading dynamics and a sense of correctness to sound are very difficult to equal.

Cables are constructed with our own proprietary conductor materials, specialist dielectrics, all matching connector stripped and surfaces fully plated with our own material composition and cryogenically treated
