Description

Coherent Systems offer the Naim NPX 300 outboard power supply from the acclaimed New Classic range. The unit is in absolutely mint, ‘as new’ condition, has seen light use only, and comes with all original boxes and paperwork. It was purchased from a genuine UK Naim dealer in 2023. Naim has always said that a better power supply is one of the biggest upgrades you can make, and the NPX 300 is the definitive step up for owners of the NSC 222 and NAC 332 preamplifiers. The matching NSC 222 and NAP 250 are also available this week, sold separately.

• Takes over from the internal supply: the NPX 300 switches off your preamplifier’s built-in power supply, leaving it free to focus purely on the music signal.
• Separate digital and analogue feeds: two dedicated Burndy connections keep digital and analogue power completely apart, for lower noise and a cleaner presentation.
• Flagship-derived regulation: six DR (Discrete Regulator) power regulators and a new transformer, with technology derived from Naim’s flagship 555 DR power supply.
• Built the Naim way: a heavy, thick aluminium chassis that shields the electronics from magnetic fields, vibration and temperature changes. It weighs 14.4 kg.
• Wide compatibility: designed for the NSC 222 and NAC 332, and with the appropriate cables it also powers the Classic NDX 2 and NAC-N 272.
• Future-proof: multiple NPX 300s can be linked for further gains as your system grows.

Expert Perspectives

Reviewers agree the NPX 300 is the upgrade that unlocks the full potential of the New Classic preamplifiers. HiFi and Music Source found that taking it out of the system made the NSC 222 noticeably less engaging, a clear sign of how much it adds. Stereophile also assessed it alongside the NSC 222.

Your chance to obtain Naim’s definitive New Classic power supply upgrade for sensible outlay.
