New in for this week a rather cracking optical disc player, The CEC CD5 plays CD & SACD’s (the SACD playback is Via USB input using DoP into the dac section of this player only) to a rather decent standard plus it sports digital to analogue inputs so you can use your streamer/pure digital radio/TV through its superb dac. The player we have is black and in superb condition, with all original boxes and remote. It is a genuine UK model supplied by Sound Council of Edinburgh. One previous owner. CEC are a long standard japanese audio company that have produced some of the most natural digital CD replay devices in existence.
The CEC CD5 produces a very natural grain free and fluid sound. Smooth and analogue sounding, fatigue free with wonderful tonality and texture. A great addition to any quality audio system.
